What is BChat?
BChat is a secure, decentralized Web3 messaging platform built on top of the Beldex blockchain.
What is your Chat ID?
Your Chat ID is a unique identifier that you can share with your friends to begin a conversation with them.
How to create a confidential group on BChat?
To create a confidential group, click the icon at the bottom-right corner of the Chat window. Select the confidential group’ option. You can only add people you have already added to your contacts.
Does BChat share your data with third parties?
BChat does not collect or store your data or metadata. You don’t need a phone number, email ID, or username to access your account. No third party has access to your messages.
What is “pay as you chat”?
Pay as you chat is a unique feature of BChat that allows you to pay BDX to your contacts as you chat with them.

Do people need to hold BDX to use BChat?
No, you can use BChat even if you don’t hold BDX. BDX will be a utility on BChat and you will be able to access additional features with BDX.
Can you send crypto to other wallets using the BChat messenger?
Yes, you can send BDX from BChat to any Beldex wallet address and vice versa. This is because, when you create a BChat account, your wallet address is generated along with your Chat ID. You can access your Beldex wallet from Profile -> Wallet on BChat.
Can I choose to delete my data?
Yes, you can. When the recipient is offline, the message you sent is temporarily stored on Masternode storage servers in an encrypted form and can only be accessed by you or the recipient. Information about your account is also stored on the blockchain in an encrypted format and only your private keys can be used to access it. You can choose to delete this data from the Beldex network. When you delete your data, it is completely erased from the Beldex network’s masternodes that act as BChat’s storage servers.
